This is from my art class on Saturdays. [which is going great btw!] We spent about 4~5 hours working on this over two class periods. Unfortunately the still life was moved to accommodate the classes held in that room during week days so the set up wasn't exactly the same the second time. I think I kind of ended up just mixing the two images together but it turned out pretty nice imo. c: I'm working on a second still life for homework too. [if you have any title ideas feel free to leave them. I obviously couldn't think of much. ]
I can see a few mistakes personally because it's rushed [apparently still life from real life looks better than a photo so we tried to get all the work done in class.] but I'm going to turn on critiques for some extra constructive help if anyone wants to give some input. c: [I always forget this site even has a critique feature, haha. But I've been getting loads of good advice from my teacher so maybe you guys can help too.]
Used: Vine charcoal, charcoal pencils, black stick charcoal, white charcoal & canson warm grey paper. c: [all materials are provided by the class. This scholarship was one of the best things to happen to me in a long time! c:]

You captured this still life very well! I really like the lighting in the bottle at the top and the saber tooth skull thing on the right side. the pepper turned out nicely as well!
To improve, I would try to soften the fabric a little. Right now it is pretty high-contrast.
You may also like to try varying the values throughout the piece. Every object has a nice range of values in and of itself, but when they all come together it looks a little bland, especially in the bottom left corner. I would try and see which objects are lighter or darker than others. Right now they all look like they are the same value. And, they may very well be the same value in real life, but you could try experimenting with darkening and lightening different objects to differentiate them.
This looks amazing!!! Wow, your talent is out of this world <3<3 Wish I could take art lessons too...I really need them Anyway, love this piece a lot!!!

Apart from that, it's great!
