Your gallery is awesome but your water color folder made me so jealous! This one is my favorite, even though it's a lot simpler than a lot of your others it's just beautiful. Love the wood texture and the shape of her body. The colors you've mixed up are bright but so natural and warm, it all really flows together nicely and gives off nice feeling (if that makes any sense).
Thank you very much! I love working with watercolors. They're my favorite medium. [though all in all I really just love coloring things any way xD] This piece turned out different color/technique wise for me because it was on printer paper rather than watercolor paper so I think that may have stood out in a unique way too with the colors. Thank you again though. I'm really glad you like it.
On printer paper? That's crazy talk! I recently used thick paper (not specific for water colors) and it didn't go overly well because it wasn't rough/thick enough and you've managed to do it on printer paper? Well my opinion of you just went up by a million, haha.
I hope to one day love water colors but for now I find them a little hard to work with
Printer paper has it's only qualities. It's almost like using a different medium when changing papers. xD But if you want to use the best paper I'd recommend strathmore, cold press. It's the best brand I've found so far...but it's so expensive that I have to settle for normal paper most of the time OTL Thoughhhh. I'm going into two advanced art classes next year..which means all the good paper I need. ;w;
Oh ok, I guess you'd just need to be careful with the amount of water you use so the paper doesn't buckle. Thanks for the advice! I know what it's like doing an art course and having to buy expensive paper D:
