Colorful Koi by NynjaKat Colorful Koi by NynjaKat
Edit: Lolwow Sorry forgot to enable critiques. I wouldn't mind a few, just keep in mind what I've said in the comments already.

A started off as doodle with copics.
I felt like drawing koi fish...
and hair :P

Kind of conceptual. You gotta look to see the girl who's fading behind the fish. If you can't quite see it try turning you head that way > :P I drew i sideways on purpose tho.

Used:
Pencil, copics ciaos + sketch, pen, white acrylic paint.

This only took about an hour but I like the turn out :P

I love this, it is very insightful and seems to have a deeper meaning to it. Great work as usual!

I saw this and could've sworn it was watercolour- that's a rather nice marker technique.

I've been looking for a new marker technique myself for a while, but, as yet, I've not come up with anything that's as interesting as this one. I really like it. Mostly with the use of colours where some seem opaque and others seem semi-opaque. Not to mention the interesting choices of blues, reds, purples, and (once again) detail in the piece.
It's also rather interesting for the conceptual nature which could be open to interpretation to a number of meanings. These are the kinds of pieces you create that I feel could receive a daily deviation- so keep up the experimentation! I noticed you've been trying different things throughout January and some of them are really awesome, you dig?

Nice (and interesting different) work. :cuddle:

I tend to think that everyone who uses a particular media, unless they follow a tutorial word for word, builds up their own technique. My "style" if you will is influenced by so many different things- as yours likely is- bringing together the best of what inspires you. It's nice either way. c:
I don't think you're going to run out of creative ideas. If you do, I can share. ;P
Sketching pigeons, fruit, and just about anything else from life/photography is a great task in my opinion. You know what an apple looks like and often the shapes are so inherent in your mind that you spend more time working with colours or techniques, rather than likenesses, which is true of pigeons too. (At least if you go to Trafalgar Square- pigeons everywhere!)
